    See the gap in the attached photos. I used cellotape to stick the two ends together and cut the tape on the outside. Will the gap damage the video head on my VCR?

    If it ever happens to me, I've decided that I am going to put one of the half-reels into a new enclosure and lose the few seconds of video at the break.
