  1. Hi

Could someone please help me with the following?

    How can I make a video 640 x 318 back to 1:1 aspect?

Either with Avidemux or with XMedia Recode.

318 would be an uncommon dimension, but assuming that's not a typo - 1:1 aspect would be 318:318

If it's rotated, apply the crop filter then the rotate filter. If it's not rotated, then just crop. You will lose parts of the picture when you crop

If the video was originally 318x318 and has black bars added to make it 640x318 then you need to remove the back bars by reencoding it.

  4. Thank you

I found how to do it with XMedia Recode :

In the "Filter/Preview" tab is the "Resolution" filter.

Uncheck the "Keep aspect ratio" box.

And in aspect ratio it is only a matter of seeing which one suits your video better.
