  1. Hello there, not entirely sure if this is related to Video Streaming Downloading, but figured it's worth a shot.
Has anyone had any succsess with compiling N_m3u8DL-RE for a jailbroken iPhone, or rather any dotnet app in general?
I have been inspired by @A_n_g_e_l_a's guide on decrypting content on android, and would love to be able to use my phone in the same way. However, if not, it is fine as I am getting a new (Android) phone this month.

Also, if this is the wrong forum, please tell me / please delete the thread.

    Cheers,

Your problem would quickly grow to compiling all the binaries that N_m3u8DL-RE needs as well. Not really doable IMHO.

An edit with a later thought:
Recently I've been playing with Linux on Raspberry Pi; specifically Pi 4 and Pi Zero 2W. Each is capable running python and is installed with the OS. so as a low-cost way to run a local headless Linux instead of on a phone. Access via a terminal and ssh from your PC. I haven't tried running any decryption software but I can't see why it wouldn't work. £15 pi Zero, £10 power supply, £5 for a 32Gb micro SD Card (refurb from eBay) and a self-printed case. So for £30 ( ~35 Euro) you have a Linux box on your network. XDA -Developers are running a series of articles about setting up Pi (I want to write the plural but pis is rude; pii?)

  3. Wow, the legend replies!

All jokes aside, I think i will just wait for my new phone to arrive, as although I would love to buy one, Raspberry Pii are especially hard to come across nowdays, and I have a capable computer to ssh to that I often use. I will soon be getting a Xiaomi phone that I will be able to extract the wvd files off of, so that will be easier than VMs anyway. Anyhow, thank you so much for responding!
