Does anyone know where i can get a tutorial or something along those lines that tells me how to adit the audio on vcds to remove the hiss.
I know how to de-multiplex the file so i have a separate audio and video file but when i load the audio file into cool edit 2000 i just get a very noisey hiss and no sound what so ever.

I'll try to explain, I have been making musik with computers for about 13 years...
I think the first cooledit I tried sucked bigtime so I have no idea about the new releases... the only thing I can come up with abotu the hissing is that when you de-multiplex you get an mpa file... which is Audio in Mpeg encoding... mayeb it's not possible for Cooledit to edit these files...
Do this... load the mpa file into Winamp... use the Options/Preferences and set the output to Diskwrite which will give you a wave file in 44,1 kz and 16 bits. That one you try loading into cooledit... or anyother waveeditor that can solve the issues you need to solve.
Then you of course need to encode the wave file back to mpa befor eyou mux it again and you do that with TMPGencThanx/
