    I'm getting a -15,59% error on the aspect ratio. I've tried changing the PAR around, but I'm not getting a 0%

    The video is a dvd rip that I'm going to deinterlace. It's a Japanese dvd in 16:9 aspect ratio.

  2. I don't use StaxRip, but if you're resizing you don't want 720x480. If it's really 16:9, then 854x480 might be more like it. Also, deinterlacing is probably the wrong way to go. It would probably be better to IVTC it back to its original 23.976fps.

  3. You're right! But I see multible methods of using IVTC.

    TIVTC
    Decomb IVTC

  4. As I said, I don't use StaxRip and have no idea what Decomb IVTC means. However, I use TIVTC all the time and would choose that. Make sure the script reads:

    TFM()
    TDecimate()

    or some such. Then check to make sure it looks okay before doing the encode.
