I am trying to make a VCD using Toast 5.1.3 and a new Imac. I have no problems when I use a CD-R but when I try to use a CD-RW I get some error messages. Here is one of them:-
The drive reported an error:
Sense Key = ILLEGAL REQUEST
Sense Code = 0x72, 0x03
SESSION FIXATION ERROR - INCOMPLETE
TRACK IN SESSION
This is another message:-
Lead-in or Lead-out cannot be written.
I'm running OSX and I'm using Memorex CD-RW. I would goto the Toast site for help but I got the software from a "friend".![]()
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It doesnt sound as if your iMac, your suspicious Toast or your method are suspect. Switch media! Memorex, though widely known, is essentially crap. If you'd like to stick to brand-name media, try TDK rewriteables. I haven't had one problem with it ... ever.

Thanks for the reply! I was hoping that it may just be the CD-RW discs that I am using. I will try the TDK discs.
