  1. Hi everyone,

I'm trying to download the video that's in this archived tweet: https://web.archive.org/web/20210918215441/https://twitter.com/MettleInvest/status/143...41412171649027

I tried following a lot of instructions from everywhere around the web about how to use inspect element for that, but the files present themselves as m4s segments and I can't figure out any way to download the full mp4 to my machine. I also tried using video download extensions on Chrome and Firefox but to no avail.

Would anyone have any indication on how I could do this?

    Thanks!

  2. No, I mean the video contained in the tweet that is linked to specifically, not other videos in the thread. The split screen video with a 2021 caption on the left side and a 2018 caption on the right side. I wish the video could be easily found on YouTube but it doesn't appear to be the case, so I'm trying to extract it from this archive page

Well, on Twitter there is no "full mp4" to be downloaded, to begin with.
Assuming all the segments were archived (and archived correctly), first you will have to download them all and only then you might concatenate them.

youtube-dl can download video clips from Twitter pages/tweets. I'm not sure if that URL would give it grief, though. But it won't hurt to give it a try.

    Code:
    youtube-dl https://web.archive.org/web/20210918215441/https://twitter.com/MettleInvest/status/1438941412171649027

I tried this but youtube-dl seemingly couldn't access any vid from there.

It seems that all the segments were indeed archived since I can actually read the video. Suppose I download all the segments, how do I then determine their orders and how do I merge them into a MP4?
