  1. sorry if this info is somewhere on this side already, but i couldn't find it...

    anyway, i've gotten a few SVCDs from people and a couple of them have points where they freeze. i can get around this by replaying and skipping past the time where it freezes. of course, that gets kinda annoying so i was wondering if anyone knows what sort of thing causes this and if there is a way i can fix it.

    i play them on a computer using windvd.

  2. if you downloaded from mIRC or other places... if a person starts downloading the same file from two or more different sources at the exact same time, it can cause freezing

  3. hmm... don't know. like i said, someone gave them to me.

    any other ideas? and is there a way to fix them?

    The only thing I could suggest is re-encoding them but that still might not fix it. Try it with one segment first.
