  1. I am trying to download from ESPN and they seemed to have changed the encryption a couple days ago. I can give someone my tv provider username and password if need be. I have tried streamlink and youtube-dl both have not worked.

  2. Bumping this because Im in the same boat; my old tried and true method seemed to work until I tried today.
Looked at the other threads about similar issues but have not gotten anywhere so far with those.

  4. ^^ are you referring to the ESPN content on ESPN+ ?

I have tried streamlink and youtube-dl both have not worked.
Because the ESPN content has just gone to WV. (ESPN+ content still basic HLS).

Streamlink and youtube-dl do not support DRM and the devps will never include it.

The ESPN .mpd is showing 200 in server traffic but 400's out in yt-dlp ?

  5. ^Yes, although WatchESPN and not ESPN+ specifically (the video thats available if you have the correct TV package). But yeah, it just changed in the past week or so apparently; older method allowed you to find an m3u8 and you were good to go.

Yeah I just tried yt-dlp as well, got the 403 error; replaced "mpd" with "m3u8" and at least confirmed its the right link though (expected formats shown with the -F flag and it gives me the filesize before erroring out ("ERROR: unable to download video data: HTTP Error 403: Forbidden").

  6. 'HLS' can be blocked. Therefore, the server does not give it.

  7. ^Thanks; is there a way around that?
Ive tried all the usual suspects on downloading but always get the 403 error; it is Widevine, so I probably need to pass those keys and/or other tokens to get it to download, but Im unclear as to how to do that and what those tokens are.
I realize a login would be helpful, but its not mine to give out; but any supported TV provider login (or YTTV/HuluLive) should work as well.
