    I had some tv shows saved on my dish PVR system and it died recently. but the shows are still on the HD and still work. (the replay part of the system still worked fine...just couldn't acquire a signal)

    I really want to save those episodes. Is there ANYWAY i can take out the HD out of the PVR and insert it into my PC (winxp system) and just convert/save?

    I've tried looking on various sites, but all I see is references to TIVO which is different from the PVR system.

    I would appreciate any help! thank you!!
