So I have looked thru the threads but do not see anything on this. Does anyone have good organization of the Folders they are exporting to when rendering movies? As an example. Main Folder Called PROJECTS with sub folders such as Date and Name, Pictures, Music, Rendered etc? I hope I am being clear on what I am asking here. i am not the best at organizing so any thoughts on this would be helpful. Thanks

One thing I found helpful and things seemed to go smoother, is to render to a separate hard drive. For example...your program should be on C drive and you render your files to another drive. On my system that would be D drive. I render to a folder called Videos with separate folders under Videos that are named whatever my title of the video is so that i can find them later.

Good idea, i do that. Also not a good idea to put source media on an external drive. Because if you remove it and then plug the drive into a different usb port the edit program can not find the files it was using for the project.

Only if putting it into a different port results in the drive having a different mounted drive letter (which you can still easily change). Apps like that work on the logical level, not the physical.
