DVD region free for Sony BDP-S3700

Hello,

I have a german BDP-S3700 Sony Blu-ray player. I wanted to make it dvd region free to play dvds from other countries. Now I tried to use the codes for S370 which should work. I used a URC3940 but it does not work. Instead of 0533 I tried 20533 and 21633, which should also work. On the last code the player turned off automatically but it didn´t change. The RC1 DVD doesn´t work. Also 00533 did not work.

Does anybody know if it work with other number codes and the URC3940 one for all remote control? Or do I have to buy a new remote (7950 I think is still available).

then more than likely the region free codes may have been removed or the firmware has been changed
Sony is the most difficult player to make region free. if you need one region free then get one

Yes, I have tried these codes and other ones. But after trying everything I am not sure if it will work with the remote control UCR3940. But seems that it would also not work with another URC. The Software is the latest from last year. I thought that Sony players would be easy to make DVD region free, because other players dvd free informations looks more difficult.

I don´t know. Maybe Sony changed something (code post are from 2018 or older).
