  1. I'm trying to convert a dvd rip into svcd format, but can't load the avi into the audio input. The video works ok, just no sound. I had to install a special codec in order to hear sound in the video originally (AC3 Audio Decoder) which was part of a nimo44.exe codec bundle.

    So anyone have suggestions as to how to load up the audio in Tmpgenc? I was wondering if maybe something to do with separating the audio from the video first and doing it that way, I think that is multiplexing or something like that right?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thnx

  2. I went to doom9.net forums and looked around, and apparently, it has something to do with the AC3 audio codec. So do I need to re-encode the audio to mp3 format or something? How would I do that, and how would I rejoin the audio to the video? Again, thnx to any who can help out.

    open the file in virtual dub, under audio-->full processing mode
    file--> save wav
    use this wav as source either in TMPG or convert to .mp2 with BeSweet or something, do video only in TMPG and mux.
