Can anyone tell me how to get DVD2SVCD 1.0.9 to output at the right resolution for doing VCD's, as I have chose all the VCD settings, but my mpeg comes out at the resolution of 352 x 480 for NTSC & 352 x 576 for PAL.
I have looked in the VCD settings.inf file & I can not find anything to do with the resolution size.

    Shepo.

  2. shep,

did u change the setting to Half VCD?
I havent tried the vcd conversion yet, but if u get it working right, let me know how clean the final mpg comes out. I wonder if its as good with tmpgenc for vcds as it is with cce for svcd's.
352x480 is half dvd resolution which may or may not play properly on your dvd player.

I think there is a bug with DVD2SVCD, as it is ok for doing VCD's if the source is 16:9, but if it is 4:3 source then it outputs the VCD at 352 x 480.

Anyone else has had any problems with DVD2SVCD 1.0.9 doing VCD's.

  4. Using all the defaults with DVD2SVCd I have been able to get a very good copy of End of Days and Behind Enamy Lines in the standard VCD format. Watched both , the only minor problems was with the audio, had some minor hang ups in some spots.
