Help! I’m trying to save my older hi8 videos to my laptop to either load to you tube or burn on DVD. Equipment Soney TRV68l

Situation when I load videos to computer from camcorder through video capture they mirror each other. Problem is when I play back the videos are streaming at a faster rate so everything is sped up. When I edit in movie editor to slow down I lose the sound.
Movies where recorded in SP mode.
I’ve tried several options to change my audio on the computer but nothing seems to help.
