    Ive transfered lots of Hi8 tapes, but I've never had this issue before

    Equiptment used:
    Sony EV-C2000E PAL
    Videonics MX-1P TBC
    ADVC 110 / 55

    I have added a video to this thread that shows my issue.

    At the right side you have a black bar that shouldent be there?, any suggestions would be appreciated!

    DV is supposed to have a few pixels of slop on both sides. Your capture has all the slop on the right side. Take out the TBC and see if it's better. If not, then it's a problem with the horizontal sync pulse in the recording and you're stuck with it. Crop it off.

  3. The actual picture in an ITU 720x576 cap is in a ~702x576 portion of the frame. Your video is shifted to the side but still has all the real picture. Nothing to worry about.
