  1. hi all,

I first heard about VCD's years ago, when my parents bought a CD-I player, and several official silver video cd's.

Now I've upgraded to a DVD player, and I dug out some of those old VCD's to play in my new player (it's a Mico Celo 80 btw)

they play back fine, as I expected, but it's frustrating not being able to go to a specific chapter, like you could when they were played on the CD-I (and exactly the same as DVD's are today)

I'm assuming that some sort of chapter data is included on the VCD, but it can only be read by CD-I players. is there any way I can access this data on my PC, and re-burn the VCDs so I can skip to chapters like I used to?

    thanks!

  2. You can try this method to rip the VCD: http://forum.vcdhelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=83665. VCDEasy will try to rip the chapter information. Then you can re-author the VCD, if necessary.
