  1. What is the best DVD player that does everything DVD\DVD-R\DVD-RW\CD\CD-R\CD-RW\VCD\SVCD\MP3)? I have a pioneer Pioneer DV-333 which is great but it does not do MP3's but it does SVCD's, VCD's, etc. It even seems to read the mp3 discs but there is no audio for them. Here is the best part I also want it to have long mp3 extensions (over 8 characters, full filenames). It also has to have fiber optic sound out, progressive scan, the good stuff. Apex has something like this but the mp3 ID3 tag (long format) is not there nor the fiber optic out. I even looked at buying a portable mp3 player that does long mp3 filenames and keeping my pionner, but what a pain in the ass that would be, another remote!

Any help would be greately apreciated.

p.s. what is the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R and DVD-RW and DVD+RW?

    thanks
    Matt

  2. HEY MATT, do yourself a favor stick with the right brand the one you Bought!

People say the pioneer brand plays everything with very little problems.

I think you are mistaken about the progressive scan the first model to come out with Progressive scan is the 434 (which by the way isn't that great for progressive scan) It was just the cheapest at around $350

    Just stick with the pioneer!

I have the 434 and I wish I could dump it and get the new model that plays mp3's. Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my 434 but I would just like to put in a mp3 disc and let it play when we're having parties,I've got speakers in every room and now I'm remodeling the bathroom and guess what
We were all NEWBIES once and the only stupid question is the one that's not asked?
