i have a dvd with about 400 mp3 on it.i would assume each song is considered a chapter.my problem is my player will only play about 150 songs and then stops.is this normal or do you buy a player that plays more songs by how many chapters it will reconize?if so who makes one that will play say 500 chapters and more?

Playing MP3s isn't a standard DVD player function, so each player does it in its own way.
Mine will show folders as well as files. So if you divide your MP3s into several folders, no more than 100 in each, you may be able to play them, one folder at a time. -
I don't believe it is "chapter" related. From what I've read, the "problem" is a hardware issue. DVD players usually have a small amount of memory, when you insert a disc, the file list of the disc gets read into memory. So the number of files a dvd player can "read" is dependant upon the amount of memory. Many players won't even play mp3 from DVD and those that do, suffer from the same "problem" of your current player...which isn't really a "problem" as mp3 playback is a secondary feature.
