  1. OK Gang,
Here is my story. I work for a company with no budget but still need to get the job done, so I cant hire an expert. Here is the issue. We produce education products, we typically have a speaker at our modest green screen studio in Florida, however recently one of our speakers put in a modest studio at his office in Philadelphia so he wouldn't need to travel to Florida. the problem: I would like to have virtual control over the studio in Philly while sitting at my desk in Florida, a bare minimum would be to video in philly but record in Florida. I have been looking at a lot of information the last couple of days and it definitely appears to be something that can be done I'm not sure what products to use or how to set it up so I am reaching out to folks who know in the hopes that ultimately I can get the solution implemented and operational in a short amount of time. In addition to what I have already said in a perfect world I would be able to live edit the green screen video and control cameras from Florida.
IS THIS POSSIBLE? Who can help?

With "no budget"? Not possible while expecting high quality.

Greenscreen may compress reasonably well, but you would have to use a codec that supported 4:2:2 or BETTER color sampling, hopefully also at 10bit or better. Otherwise, you will have major block-related overlay issues.

Much better to shoot & record in Philly and do an overnight offline upload dump. You can Vconf in to see a lorez proxy of what's going on but that's about it. Maybe also have Remote control of a few items. It still isn't cheap.

  4. OK, So maybe no budget was not the best terminology, lets assume I have a modest budget, or even a huge budget, Can it be done? and if so what components/software will I require? I'm certain it can be done as I think about security systems being remotely controlled from all over the globe, recording video etc...
