Well I’m a newbie to this kind of thing video really isn’t my gig . I started having weird things happen around my house so I got a surveillance system installed supposedly a very good video system. However certain times of the day the cameras will not record and certain video that I find suspicious seems to be changed and Pixalizes quite often I’m curious to see if anyone can tell me how to tell whether the video has been changed or could examine the video for me and let me know what the original video look like and how to get the old parts out .

do you have the cameras set to record when movement is detected ??
and are the cameras wired or wireless.
if wireless it is possible that someone might of Hacked into
your setup and took control of your cameras.

  4. I doubt very much your wireless has been hacked. More likely is that your cameras are on the edge of how far your wireless can reach. Take a laptop to the location where the camera is located, connect to your Wi-Fi, and then look at the signal strength.

You may also have exposure issues. Are the cameras facing the sun, or do they get direct "glare" reflections off a window? This can throw off the video recording.
