  1. If I do a capture and accidently let the record go past the intended segment, how do I cut and remove the unwanted segment? Using tmpgenc's mpeg tool it has to "pull" the part that I want (large) rather than the part I don't want (small). Am I missing something? Sorry for such a basic question, I've looked at all the tools and looked for a post that addresses this issue to no avail. Thanks, Andy

    Since you are doing a capture, I'm assuming that your files are MPEG2. To cut MPG files, you can use TSMPG's "Files" > "MPeg Tools" > "Merge/Cut". However, while it does make cuts on only the "I" frames (the beginning of a GOP, the only place you should cut on MPEGs), it is virtually impossible to make a cut where you want it using the interface (it also doesn't cut where you want it). I don't know why this happens, but with large files (>1 GB), the cut feature is virtually worthless. Smaller files might be okay, but this hasn't worked for me.
