when i play most of my vcds in WMP why do loads of sqaures come up and block the image so i cant see bits of the screen. it only happens during parts but its usually the good ones :( is it due to bad copies?

I believe that I have had the same problems as you are stating. Do the blocks sometimes turn bright green? Does your audio have pops and crackles too?
My findings have pointed to poor quality media. Once I switched to a higher quality CD-R(W), the same base file made a good VCD.
Another thing I found was that I was more likely to have a bad VCD burn if I authored the VCD using TSCV. I since use VCDEasy to do the work and have never had a bad VCD. -
the squares are usually all differnt colours and the audio stays normal. do u think that if it was bad media, could i just copy them to my HD and would that fix it?
