  1. Hello,

I want to MPEG-DASH stream my Vimeo videos using DASH.js, but do not know how to do it.

Thanks to this document I have learned that Vimeo can generate JSON for DASH streams (mpd source) and segment videos as .m4s on the fly. (Even can do .m3u8 for HLS). Also MPD format for DASH delivery in 3rd party players are also supported! (Tested in dash.js, Shaka player, JW Player, bitdash, and MS Edge browser, check page 6 of the document). Even there are browser plugins such as Video Download Helper which can spot the mpd JSON source and the mp4 source file. As a plus, a Wordpress plugin managed to MPEG-DASH stream Vimeo files.

This is an example where the Video Download Helper detects the JSON source for the dash stream. Maybe it is possible to spot the link for the json?

In short, I know it is indeed possible but don't know how. Can you please help me? You would save me from A TON of headache.

    Thanks
