  1. The movie plays fine on my computer. I tried to extract audio using Virtualdub. The audio is not recognized. I guess the audio is 5.1 AC3. Anyone knows how I can extract audio to .wav. Thanks,

  2. There is no way that the audio is ac3. The dvd isn't even out yet what you have is an camera job. anyways did you follow the guide exactly the way it says to under conversions using the first guide. Also why didn't you just download the movie in mpg format.I followed the guide and have it on vcd now and watched it on my dvd player in my living room.

  3. I think it is a screener. I can not extract audio in Vdub. The file info says it is 5 channel stereo, compression is unknow. I tried to increase the directed multimedia show priority in Tmpgenc. The audio is fine, but video disappeared. I encoded them separately with different priorities. When I tried to mux them in bbmpg, cannot read the .mp2 audio. I tried Besweet, it is not working on my P4 1.5G with XP, don't know why? Anybody can help me, please.

  4. There IS a way that the audio is AC3, because there is a DVD-screener rip out there (can't remember, if it has AC3 sound though?). There is a program called decompress (it's linked to divx-digest somewhere). It can convert the audio to PCM. But if you are planning to make an SVCD, just install the proper TMPGenc plugins, and load the AC3 sound into there!

  5. Hey VINCE, You got me but I downloaded oceans eleven and it said it was a screener(IT definetly wasn't) but don't forget about mis-labeling. as you know a screener is a early release of a movie on either dvd or vhs. Some people get confused and dowwnload a movie then they label it screener. They think Screener means a taped screen. I hate when people do this. Let me ask you something at the very beging of your movie do you see someone's head in the bottom left corner of the screen? Mine does.Well I hope someone can really give you the advice you need but doesn't this movie come out on dvd in a few weeks anyways.

  6. Hi, vcd2me, I have seen taped screen. This one is definetly NOT. It is as clear as DVD movie.

Ashtrader2000, I have the correct plug-in. I could encode the audio if I increase the priority of Directshow Multimedia, but I cannot open the .mp2 file in neither bbmpg nor Tmpgenc for multiplex. It plays fine in Realplayer.

  7. Well if you're making an SVCD, you don't need to make an mp2 file!?!
If not, use decompress, and still, that's not an issue!

I don't see why you need that mp2 file created?

  8. Well I was typing while you guys went back and fourth. I checked it out and the dvd release is May 7 th. so there is definetly copies floating out there. Now I'm mad I didn't get my screener from my supplier. I've been dying to watch this movie and didn't even realize that it was coming to dvd that soon.It can't be that good though if it made it to dvd in just three months. Have any of you seen it.

  11. Hi,

When I first loaded the avi file to Tmpgenc, the audio cannot be loaded, so I hade to increase the priority of Directedshow Multimedia as sbd suggested here. The audio was fine, then I got only black screen for the video. That's why I encoded video and audio seperately and tried to multiplex them in bbmpg. Then audio however cannot be opened. Has anybody had similar problem before? How did you solve it? Maybe I will just wait a couple weeks and rip the DVD, it is much easier and better quality too. Thanks,

  12. If you have all the correct directshow plugins, you will not get the black screen!

  13. the way i got the AC3 sound from Harry Potter was using a program called nandub. Its on doom9 i think.

It seems to be the same as vdub, dont know what the difference is.

But just load you file, select direct stream copy for audio, then save .wav in file menu.

Then rename the .wav to .ac3 and run a program called ac3fix on it.

You will now have a proper .ac3 file to convert using any ac3 to wav converters or to keep and burn with ac3.
