    i have a video file, of which I have worked on in windows moviemaker, I want to be able to watch this in windows media player. I changed the program to open it with but the file format is invalid. Can someone please advise me as to what I need to do to change the file format so it is compatible with media player or If there is software I might need to convert this?

    Are you sure that's not just the project file... You need to open it in Windows Movie Maker and got to file>save movie.
