I rented a DVD from Blockbuster (Road Trip; uncut version) and my DVD which has multi-zones chip installed can not play it. It comes up with C:13:00 error. I brought it back to the store and was told that the DVD was made to anti multi-zones DVD player. I dont know how new this Road Trip DVD is in US but it's fairly new in Australia and I start wondering if all new DVD would be made the same. That means by freaking DVD player is useless. Shit, it's a freaking shame that I can not play it cos I was told that it's freaking funny.
I have ripped the movie and converted it into MPG file and burnt it as VCD and still doesn't freaking play.
Has anyone got this problem before or any solution.

Did you buy it first hand region free?
You may actually have a case because you were sold a product that cannot play standard media it is expected to play.
You at least have a lawful right to a working one.
Or you could just hack the firmware to whatever region you want.
Use an RW CD so you can do it over and over
Yes, they are now implinting Region Enhancement to Limit our freedoms.
