  1. Hello,

I need to capture from a live realmedia clip, into a vcd.
I know there is a guide on how to capture realmedia _files_,

But i need to capture direcly from the live realmedia server.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

You have to get a program called streamvcr and urlsniffer and it's not always possible.

If possible, try to locate a non-realmedia source.

  4. i had tinra working now. (you need realplayer 8 or less)

    but the quality is horrible.
Its around 10 fps and quiet blurry.

is there any other programs, that does the trick better?

My internet connection is 512kbit dsl and when i watch the movie with realplayer its pretty good (as good as it gets with realmedia)

  7. I guess i could go that way if i had too, but if my internet acts up for a few seconds, ill have to start all over.
It would be nice though, if i could download the clip before converting/capturing it

i too had a similar situation, there was a real media video on the net that i couldn't find anywhere else(war of the worlds documentry). I used streambox to get it on my harddrive and then i used eo video to convert it to mpeg 1. can't say the quality was great, because the source stunk anyway, but it all worked flawlessly.

make sure that you don't have firewall issues, realmedia and firewalls love each other
