    Free software?
    Thx

What's the codec inside the MOV?

If you mean Motion JPEG, I think Vegas will be happiest with an AVI file. Use FFmpeg in a batch file.

    Code:
    [Winders]
    for %%F in (*.mov) do [path to]ffmpeg.exe -i %%F -c copy [output path]%%~nF.avi

  4. Another option - If you install quicktime, they should work in vegas natively

QT has been officially discontinued on windows, but many people still use it

Mov's should work but it's not stable on my box.
    I've got XMedia Recode...
I've selected avi as the format and motion jpeg as the codec under the video tab
    Thanks

For best quality, you should NOT be re-encoding.

I tried selecting copy in XMedia Recode but it doesn't take.
I used MPEG Streamclip...doesn't re-encode...just save as avi, mp4, or DV
