This device cannot start. (Code 10)

G'day guys,

I cannot connect my android 5 to my PC to retrieve some photos. Error Code 10 says the message. Driver won't install no mater what. I followed Google tips and MS, but nothing worked, even tried other cable, Please see picture.

Any help welcomed

Have you connected this particular phone with success in the past? Have you changed phones? Have you downloaded the correct driver and installed it? If so, did you first uninstall ALL previous Android drivers, rebooted, cleaned registry, rebooted again, and THEN and ONLY THEN installed the correct driver, BEFORE repeat BEFORE attaching the phone?

Thank you for answering and for the advice. I had connected the phone many times before, but this time it failed all intents.

I'll uninstall all software concerning the Android phone and do what you advise.

Try setting the phone to mass storage device

Success. I deleted all electable Samsung and MTP USB Device entries in the W. registry. As there were so many I used jv16. Rebooted and installed the driver. Now connects fine as soon I plug the phone via USB.
