I have windows 98 and it works fine. On my win 2000 machine it say no aspi adatper available and it continues to search for keys while decrypting. Any sugesstions??

yes it does work in win 2000... install aspi layers using forceAspi at:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/frcaspi.cfm
...make sure to unlock the disk by playing it for a few moments before using smartripper.
