unable to play video after cutting by MyMP4BoxGUI

Hi,

I have a 2.2Gb mp4 video file which I cut to 5 files each of 500MB by using MyMP4BoxGUI. There were no errors with the cutting.

But I am not able to play each of the cut files using Windows Media Play. The original 2.2Gb file plays ok.

The error from WMP is :

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

Can some help to explain if I have done something wrong?

Try to replace the mp4box that comes with MyMP4BoxGUI with an up-to-date version.

Play them in anything but WMP. VLC or MPC come to mind.

Thanks sneaker for the reply. The version I am using is 0.6.0.6. After splitting, it's the first file that cannot be played. The rest are ok.

Thanks hech54 for your reply. Unfortunately, the orgnaisation only allows the default WMP and no other third party players. I tried on MPC and it works. It's only the first file that cannot be played.
