  1. I need help. I'm trying to convert a 1280x720 video into an 848x480 video, Everything goes fin until I reach 99.50% finished then the encoding just quits and it pops out an error. I have never encountered and error like this and I've spent the past 3-4 hours trying to fix it with no luck. I'm at my wit's end. Can someone please tell me what's going on and how to fix it? I've copied the error message into the spoiler below.

    I would use CODE instead.

You said "an error" pops up. Which? Try to quote it as exactly as possible. You may be able to press Ctrl+C when this dialog appears.

Encoding audio and video seem to have finished. So the issue may be in the MP4 multiplexing at the end?

  3. Forgive my ignorance but what is CODE and how do I use it?

I have copied the error right to my post. All it says is Error:. Nothing else.

Anyway it doesn't finish encoding. As I said it gets to 99% and then just quits.

Instead of using the bbCode [ SPOILER ], you would use the bbCode [ CODE ] instead.

The log lists no error message.
    Error:

But it reports encoding audio, encoding video, and multiplexing with MP4Box. Obviously, encoding the video D:\\0007.264 finished before it tries to multiplex it with the audio D:\\0007.m4a to an MP4 file, and this seems to fail.

  5. Well the log doesn't list what error it is. Also how to do I switch over from bbCODE to bbCODE [CODE]?

Well, how did you insert [spoiler] in the first place? Did you type that?

  7. OH THAT! I thought you were talking about an encoding or programming format for Xvid4PSP. yes I did type it.

Please ignore that and and focus on the problem at hand please.

Simply substitute "spoiler" with "code" in your starting post.
    __

The problem at hand ... well, my opinion is that the multiplexing step failed.

Do the files D:\0007.264 and D:\0007.m4a exist?

    Does the file "C:\Users\My name\Desktop\[Asuka Subs] Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon - 09 (848x480 h264 AAC).mp4" exist?

Can you execute the whole MP4Box command line at a console prompt? ... Maybe create a batch file and execute it in the directory where Xvid4PSP 5 keeps its copy of MP4Box:

    Code:
    MP4Box.exe -fps 23.976 -add "D:\\0007.264" -add "D:\\0007.m4a" -new "C:\Users\My name\Desktop\[Asuka Subs] Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon - 09 (848x480 h264 AAC).mp4" -tmp "D:\"
    PAUSE
    ^this is a CODE block

By the way, you should never use a root directory as temporary. Root directories always have a limited capacity, regarding the number of files to contain (and temporary files are easily created in hundreds, and forgotten to be removed). Always use subdirectories. For your movies as well: A desktop should never contain anything else than links.

  9. Well I'm going to have to go to work soon so I'll try this when I get back.
