  1. im converting avi to mpeg(vcd) using TMPGEnc - the video is always jerking every few seconds. i've tried using different versions of TMPGEnc, its still like that.
    can anyone help plz. Thx

  2. Check the framerate of the source video (.avi) and compare against the framerate used by your chosen TmpGenc template. If they are different that may explain the jerking. In that case the simplest solution is to select the TmpGenc template that matches the source video in terms of framerate

  3. thx for the reply. yea i tried encoding with the NTSCFilm template (for 23 fps) and NTSCVCD template. the source file is 23fps and im still gettting the same problem.

    any other suggestions?

  4. Same problem here. I am trying to encode a Marx brothers video to SVCD from Virtualdub. I am frameserving to TMPGEnc. The frame rates are the same on both ends. I have a monster setup with dual MP 1500s, fast 7200 hard disk with 66mhz card as the source and 10000 U160 as the destination. Nothing else is no either channel. Page file is on another disc on another channel. I have 512mb of Crucial memory.
    The avi looks fine but the mpeg is jumpy at places. I'm not too sure what the problem is - this the filter chain I use (in case this could be causing the issue)



    BTW, to the original poster, sorry to jump in on your thread just seems like we have the same issue. LMK, if you get any answers and I'll do the same. [/img]
