  1. My friend ripped a movie for me and he says he shrinked Blu-Ray 50 to Blu-Ray 25 (AVC 1920 x 1080 Video; DTS-HD 6.1 Audio). Is there any loss now? Can I uncompress it back to Blu-Ray 50? I think he did it with DVD Shrink.

    Yes. But on some Blu-rays you may get away with only cutting out extras (like a making of), some audio tracks or menus without actually reducing the quality of the main movie. If this is the case here we cannot tell you.

    Impossible, DVD Shrink is for DVDs only. Maybe he used a decrypter like AnyDVD + BD-Rebuilder to shrink.

  4. It might be lossless, as sneaker said, there is a chance he just extracted movie with audio track and it fit single layer disk.
