I have this new Acer Aspire E 15 laptop.
I prefer to work in low-light conditions so that I can get a better view of the pixels on the display. However, the keyboard lights have this auto-shutoff about every 30 seconds, and that is very annoying. I would prefer to keep them on rather than shine a light on it.
I can toggle them On and Off with the Fn+F9
Does anyone know if there is a way to keep the keyboard lights always on?

Go to Control Panel->Windows Mobility Center. If you see anything there for keyboard backlighting, you might find timer settings in that.

unfortunately, there was no section for the laptop keyboard lights. i guess i'm stuck with the keyboard lights turning off after 30 seconds of no key presses. its not that critical. oh well. thanks anyway.

From what I'm seeing on the Acer forum, you've already found the only options available ( Fn+F9 ).
