staxrip gpu encoding error

so i'm new to gpu encoding and i tried the nvidia h.265 option in staxrip

using default settings, i get this error:

changing the decoder to nvencc (avcuvid native or cuda) i get this error:

So you want to use NVEncC to encode to H.265; do you have at all hardware which supports encoding to H.265? Which model is your graphic card? You will need at least a third generation NVENC encoder chip on it.

my gpu is gtx 960m. apparently it doesn't support encoding to H.265 according to a forum. bummer.
