Hi, I have a DIV3 encoded .avi which my line media player won't play. I used to change Divx encoded .avi files to Xvid with FourCC earlier and that trick always helped but no luck now with DIV3. Can FourCC help here with some other Codec ID?

No. You need a DIV3 decoder or you need to recompress.
