Problem With Ripped DVD

I borrowed a DVD from a friend and used smartripper to rip it. i demuxed the movie and audio, then used tmpgenc to remux them into an mpeg2 file. i wanted to convert it to Divx/avi and VCD so i can play it in my DVD player, but i keep getting errors when i try to convert it. something like there may be errors when you try to play the file. is there a way i can convert the mpeg2 file back into a vob file so i can try a different way???

err...in order to make it into (S)VCD, you need to frameserve the vobs to an encoder like tmpgenc. ppl normally use dvd2avi as the frameserver.
