  1. This guy is selling this unit

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2017527974

Which if you look at it is this unit

    http://www.suncarla.co.jp/cdr/spec_cdr2000.htm

To duplicate CD-Rs with the two drives ripped out, and replaced with Pioneer reader and writer.

The seller won't tell me anything, but does anyone know if the unit had to be modified in any way? Will any other units like the Butterfly CD duplicators work?

    DISCLAIMER!
This is just intended to duplicate DVD-Rs, not factory made discs. I am NOT asking for help in any way to illegally duplicate copyrighted works.

  2. I don't own a dvd recorder yet but I don't see why this wouldn't work I've seen the cd-r one work with no problem(one reader two writers). However You still have to go through all the work to get the original dvd down to 4.7 gigs or at least get rid of the macrovison. In other words it will not copy a store bought dvd. Most dvd's are 9.4 gigs.
