    I have an FX-8350 running at default settings. When backing-up BR's using BDRB in HS25 mode I was running 3.4 to 4 times real-time. All of a sudden I'm running at 1.5 real-time. CPU Monitor shows I'm running at 30% utilization.?

    Are you using the x264/lavf for frame serving?
    If so, download a slightly older version of BDRB, extract x264.exe and replace the latest one with it

    I use my FX-8350 with Vidcoder for DVD/BD to MKV encodes. Runs near 100% on all eight cores. Not OC'd either.

    Does sound like a encoder problem.

    I reverted to version 4907,the first one that does not expire. That solved the problem,many thanks. My utilization is now 98-100%. Surprising that the x264 encoder could make such a difference.

    you can just swap out the x264.exe if you want.

    it's not the encoder, its the internal decoding/frame serving
