At the moment I am trying to convert .mts files by batching them into a single stream copy (each recorded event is within their own folder and those recorded files are individual). I am using Video to Video. I have many separate .mts files recorded in 1920x1080 (stored on my external HD), and I am trying to use the "Direct Stream Copy" method in order to convert each individual files into a single file. Up until now I have successfully been able to convert a number of files, each around 2gb in size. However, for some reason now it will only convert upto a certain size, with the remaining converted files missing.

When the process is complete, normal it displays the small arrow sign beneath the "status" icon, but the ones that it doesn't fully convert it displays a white hand in front or a red background. I have enough space on my HDD around 800gb).

Anyone had any problems with this program when converting from one format to another?.

    Hope this make sense.

You might try tsMuxeR GUI instead if you just want to create a single video file from individual files.
    Or maybe AVIDemux.

But you mention 'converting'. What format/codec are you converting to?
I use VidCoder for some format conversions. Or AVStoDVD.

Thanks for that, will give it a try.

Speaking of "Video to Video", but I did a conversion with quite a number of individual .mts files (with one or two very low resolution mp4 files taken from my camera phone). In total these were around 2gb in size. I decided to do a test and convert them instead to a DVD format using the DVD Pal option with the various video output choices. I set the output format to "letterboxed" rather than 4x3 and the rest of the settings stayed the same. However, when the conversion was completed (completed file size is 928MB), the image was squashed in and not stretched out as I would've presumed it should be. I tried the converted files again within the VIDEO_TS folder and the video is jittery for some reason. Maybe the program doesn't like too many different formats (with different aspect ratios) being batched together, or maybe the files are corrupt in some way. The individual files play perfectly though, so maybe the problem is to do with Video to Video.

Each time I use a different piece of software I always seem to run into issues; sometimes the files don't convert fully or the video is jittery.
