    Hi All.
    a quick question, can you please tell me the best player [free] to play mts video files, i have VLC player but will not play properly.
    i have been giving a wedding vidio to edit, but never in this format

    Perhaps try mpc-hc. An alternative would be to re-package as an MKV file using mkvmerge

    From ffplay trough mpc-hc to some other player and LAV filters installed - should work. Overdrive point on changing container is fair - if from some reason mts is odd go for something more common.

    ffmpeg may help you with bellow script:
