Tonight i'm hopefully going to make my first VCD from a DivX movie and a few questions. I'm using the DivX to VCD All-In-One Guide for reference. This is my DivX movies attributes......
Width 512
Height 384
Duration 1:27:59
Bitrate 127kbps
Audio Format MPEG Layer3
Frame Rate 23.97 frames/sec
Data rate 136kbps
Video sample size 24bit
Video compression DIVXMPG4 V3
So what would be my output resolution for this as i believe that it should be 352x240? Will this distort my picture. Secondly, is it possible to burn to 1Cd or should i just go for 2?
Thanks for any advice.

If you have a 90min CDR media and your CDRW supports it, you can encode it to a fully standard Video-CD and it will fit perfectly with 3min to spare.
As for the picture being distored, if you set TMPGEnc that your source is a Wide Screen 16:9 Display and you using Full Screen (keep aspect ratio 2)
then you will have no problems.Email me for faster replies!

As far as I recall, the diffrence is only when being played on the PC by a player like Media Player
Keep aspect ratio = will play the movie maintaining the aspect ratio in a window, but when full screen, aspect ratio is gone
Keep aspect ratio 2 = will play the movie maintaining the aspect ratio in both Windowed and Full screen modes.Email me for faster replies!

About the 90min CD-R's:
I did some checking around, and here's what I found. Most companies will not make a CD-R larger than 80min, due to CD-R standards. I found one company that makes them, but I am unable to track them down in stores. This is a link to the company that makes them (Infiniti):
http://www.medeainternational.com/info/90min.htm
I also found that some CD-Authoring software will not burn onto a 90min CD-R. The two that I found (I did not look at all of them, but recommend you visit the website of your's) were Roxio (Adeptec) and Iomega.
BTW, the companies that I checked to see if the made 90min CD-R are:
Imation
Memorex
Maxell
IBM
Fuji
PNY -
NTI cd-maker and Nero support over-burning.For 90/99min. media:

In Israel we have 3 companies, one is local, but the other two are imports, they are: SilverLine and GPT
according to CDR Diagnostics, one is made by Plasmon and the other by Mitsui Chemicals (I think that's the name).

I don't have a clue where to get 90 min. cds but I got 99 min. cds at CompUSA. They didn't show them on the website but they have them in stock. They are SKU#282323. I select "overburn" in Nero and they burn just fine and play on my Apex and Ge (also an Apex) just beautifully. I am able to fit up to 983 mb of xsvcd on them even though it's an 850mb disc!
