I made my first SVCD and while the video quality and audio is excellent, the picture jerks a little when played on my DVD player. I can even pause the SVD and the picture will flicker and jerk a little while paused. Playing the SVCD in WINDVD on my PC, however is fine. No jerkiness. I have dome some searching on this forum and it sounds like the field order might be the problem but I am not sure. My encoding has been:
Smartripper
DVD2AVI - Source DVD was 16:9, 23.976 FILM Progressive - I used Forced Film in the encoding)
TMPGenc -> NTSC Film -> non-interlaced, Top Field First, 16:9 525 line (NTSC)
I am sure there are other settings that I may need to share, but does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be? Thanks.
(My CD burner is an old one that doesn't write to CDRW so I hate to keep burning CDRs to experiment with but maybe thats the only way to figure it out.)
