  1. Welp uh, I'm new here and there's no other place for me to go get help so-

Does anyone know the effects used in these videos?
https://youtu.be/XMdIGSyFKCk?t=6s 0:06 and 0:10 (if anyone knows the effect on 1:10, it would be nice but you don't have to answer)

https://youtu.be/Om3MTou2kPg?t=2m46s I dunno how to explain it but the horizontal black lines effects?

    https://youtu.be/_-Ah_2R8BiU?t=1m30s 1:30 to 1:32

If anyone can tell me the names of the effects please reply thankyouverymuch-

EDIT: oh and also, if anyone watches the whole video, they may see some of the characters are sticking out like this: http://prntscr.com/a6yofz

if that's an another effect, please tell me also

    Hey

I'm not familiar with AviUtl, but if your goal is to reproduce the effects in the anime your linked WITH aviUtl, I guess you could try to post on that topic:
    https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/366724-Aviutl-Tips-Tricks-and-Support-thread

Plenty of advice there with experienced users like Maverick and Racerx,...

    good luck

The first one is a combination of filters such as directional blur and compositing multiple layers, and audio waveform effect at 8-9 sec .

The 2nd one can be done with animating multiple instances of "scan lines" (custom object => scanline) parameters and layers . They are just composited on top of each other

The 3rd one with black horizontal lines is basic 1 layer "scan lines" in aviutl. To reduce color (black/white) you can lower saturation

Characters sticking out - which ones? The red/orange ones, or white, or white french ? Does it animate out or is it static ? If you mean the large asian character, you can scale up different layers

  4. Holy crap thank you!

(Yes I did mean the Asian characters. but thanks anyway)

What about the other effects like first one, 10-11 seconds?

Also, the third one, I meant like transitioning.

For the Asian characters you just animate them on separate layers. You actually have a camera in aviutl, and z-space (x,y,z) , but it's not necessary, you can do the essentially same thing with scale, if the camera doesn't move

The 1st one 10-11 seconds is known as an "RGB split" . In aviutl it's called "color shift" under the effects. You can animate the parameters like angle direction, strength, and gap width

For the 3rd one, the there are several transitions and several effects used. There is an RGB split like above, and a circular displacement effect. The circular effect can be done by compositing multiple instances of the video, each rotated slightly and "cutout" using circular masks. There are also other effects like blurring, scanlines as mentioned earlier, levels/brightness changes
