Let me introduce myself

Hello, I a SAHM that taught myself how to convert all our VHS tapes to dvd. I spent many hours frustrated but I have taught myself a lot about the process but unfortunately I have forgotten a lot too since it's not something I do all the time. I am now in the process of converting our Hi8 tapes to dvd. It has been a long and arduous task and sometimes I wonder if it's all worth it and in two generations from now will anyone even care to watch them! I figure at least me and the hubs can watch them when we want to and reminisce about the "good old days" of raising our five children. We really captured a lot of video, more than the average family I think! I am looking forwards to finishing this task with help from whoever is kind enough to take the time to answer my questions. Although it frustrates me, I enjoy this and want to help other friends and family transfer their old family films as well. Also, I will do my best to ask questions in appropriate area. Please be patient because sometimes this is all Greek to me!
