    Hello ,

I just ran into a sizeable bunch of movies on hard drive - seems they have been there a long time.

Anyway , they have been encoded in the Xvid format and all 720p.

There are about 200 movies all play fine in Smplayer which was my player of choice before Kodi , which is brilliant - so i thought.

Seems Kodi can not play these files.

You must first feed them through Avidemux and let the program fix (bitstream) or (Index is not up to date) issues.

Then files play ok, but i have 200 plus - would take a long time.

Has someone bumped into this or is it me who just can not configure Kodi.

BTW - running Kodi Jarvis 16 alpha and Nvidia 720gt graphics - Ubuntu 14.04 .

    Thanks.
