  1. I have a Vixia HF S10. I just replaced the LCD screen.
The screen was cracked, that was the only problem. I put the unit back together and I've got no picture at all.
You can turn the power on, you can hear the functions working when you switch modes on the screen between camera and view images.
Also, nothing happens when I depress record..
I reinstalled the cracked screen, and that does not have any picture either..

I used this as a second camera at a concert I recorded last month, all was working then..

    Any ideas? Thank you

If you broke the digitizer then you will need to replace both lcd screen and digitizer.

  4. I checked and took pics tonight - It seems I have solid connections.
Out of all the ribbon connectors, which one is more likely to have a direct effect on the screen power?
The connection that is hardest to connect is the screen assy to the body, but I know it is connected.

    Maybe overthinking..
I wonder if by touching the motherboard it may have shut it down?
Do any of the chassis screws act as grounds?
Running out of theories.. But, something is the cause...

    Thoughts?

  5. Would the digitizer normally show some signs of damage?
