    What container? mp4? mkv?
Latest avidemux? Then try an older version. https://www.videohelp.com/software/AviDemux/old-versions#download

But avidemux often crashes for random stuff...

Why not try something else? Vidcoder can copy audio tracks(pass-through under settings audio tab) and convert just the video. Or Xmedia Recode (under the audio tab choose Mode: Copy)

  3. MKV Latest Beta Build. Audio is the one thing I want to change. I'm not looking to change video. I just want to change the audio bitrate because Western Digital devices suck with this stuff

DOn't use latest beta builds...very buggy.

Or use Popcorn MKV audio converter to just change/reconvert the audio in mkvs.
